【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesmethodsofcalibrationandroutinetestsofscintillationdetectorsystemsforthemeasurementofgamma-rayenergiesandemissionratesofradionuclidesandtheassayofradioactivity.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletoscintillationdetectorsystemsbasedoninorganicscintillatorsforphotonmeasurements.Typicalapplicationsincluderadionuclideidentificationandassayinvariousindustrial,environmental,andmedicalapplications.Thedetectorsystemconsistsofthreemajorcomponents:ascintillatingmaterialthatproducesphotonsoflightwhenionizingradiationinteractswithit;oneormorephotomultipliersorphotodiodes,opticallycoupledtothescintillator,whichconvertthelightphotonstoanamplifiedelectricalpulseorpulses;andassociatedelectronicinstrumentationwhichpowersthephotomultiplierandprocessestheoutputsignal.Bothenergycalibrationandefficiencycalibrationarecovered.Thefollowingthreetechniquesareconsidered:a)totalspectrumcounting(see3.1)whichemploysasystemthatcountsallpulsesabovealow-energythreshold(see5.1,5.2and5.3);b)single-channelanalyzer(SCA)counting(see3.2)whichemploysasystemwithacountingchannelestablishedthroughupperandlowerenergyboundaries(see5.1,5.2,and5.3);c)multichannelanalyzercounting(see3.3)whichemploysasysteminwhichmultiplecountingwindowsareutilized.Thistechniqueallowsmeasurementsforwhichthecontinuumunderthetotalabsorptionpeakmaybesubtractedwithoutintroducingunacceptableerror.Incaseofoverlappingpeaksinthespectrum,amultichannelanalyzer(MCA)withaccesstoapeakdeconvolutionprogramisnecessary.Thiscaseisnotcoveredbythisstandard.
