【摘要】:1.1Thisstandardprovidesguidanceforearthenbuildingsystemsthataddressbothtechnicalrequirementsandconsiderationsforsustainabledevelopment.Earthenbuildingsystemsincludeadobe,rammedearth,cob,castearthandotherearthtechnologiesusedasstructuralandnon-structuralwallsystems.1.1.1Therearemanydecisionsinthedesignandconstructionofabuildingthatcancontributetothemaintenanceofecosystemcomponentsandfunctionsforfuturegenerations,thatis,sustainability.Onesuchdecisionistheselectionofproductsforuseinthebuilding.Thisstandardaddressessustainabilityissuesrelatedtotheuseofearthenwallbuildingsystems.1.1.2Theconsiderationsforsustainabledevelopmentrelativetoearthenwallbuildingsystemsarecategorizedasfollows:materials(productfeedstock);manufacturingprocess;operationalperformance(productinstalled);andindoorenvironmentalquality(IEQ).1.1.3Thetechnicalrequirementsforearthenbuildingsystemsarecategorizedasfollows:designcriteria,structuralandnon-structuralsystems,andstructuralandnon-structuralcomponents.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotprovideguidanceforstructuralsupportofroofsmadeofearthenmaterial.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesandtodeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
