【摘要】:Dieselfuelinjectionequipmenthassomerelianceonlubricatingpropertiesofthedieselfuel.Shortenedlifeofenginecomponents,suchasdieselfuelinjectionpumpsandinjectors,hassometimesbeenascribedtolackoflubricityinadieselfuel.ThetrendofHFRRtestresultstodieselinjectionsystempumpcomponentdistressduetowearhasbeendemonstratedinpumprigtestsforsomefuel/hardwarecombinationswhereboundarylubricationisbelievedtobeafactorintheoperationofthecomponent.5ThewearscargeneratedintheHFRRtestissensitivetocontaminationofthefluidsandtestmaterialsandthetemperatureofthetest.Lubricityevaluationsarealsosensitivetotracecontaminantsacquiredduringtestfuelsamplingandstorage.TheHFRRandScuffingLoadBallonCylinderLubricityEvaluator(SLBOCLE,TestMethodD6078)aretwomethodsforevaluatingdieselfuellubricity.Noabsolutecorrelationhasbeendevelopedbetweenthetwotestmethods.TheHFRRmaybeusedtoevaluatetherelativeeffectivenessofdieselfuelsforpreventingwearundertheprescribedtestconditions.CorrelationofHFRRtestresultswithfieldperformanceofdieselfuelinjectionsystemshasnotyetbeendetermined.Thistestmethodisdesignedtoevaluateboundarylubricationproperties.Whileviscosityeffectsonlubricityinthistestmethodarenottotallyeliminated,theyareminimized.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationofthelubricityofdieselfuelsusingahigh-frequencyreciprocatingrig(HFRR).1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletomiddledistillatefuels,suchasGradesLowSulfurNo.1D,LowSulfurNo.2D,No.1D,andNo.2Ddieselfuels,inaccordancewithSpecificationD975;andothersimilarpetroleum-basedfuelswhichcanbeusedindieselenginesNote1Itisnotknownthatthistestmethodwillpredicttheperformanceofalladditive/fuelcombinations.Additionalworkisunderwaytofurtherestablishthiscorrelationandfuturerevisionsofthistestmethodmaybenecessaryoncethisworkiscomplete.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicableregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificwarningstatementsaregiveninSection.
